During the last two years, we have seen unprecedented government takeover of the private sector and our personal lives.   The federal government is out of control.

The Obama budget is projected to run a $1.6 trillion deficit in 2010 ($143 billion higher than the 2009 deficit), even though tax revenues exceed $2 trillion annually.  While the national debt was $5.8 trillion through 2008, the federal government is expected to add an astounding $16.3 trillion in new debt by 2020.  To paraphrase what President Ronald Reagan said, government has a spending problem, not a revenue problem!

Our military faces tremendous obstacles, but the current administration continues to put our national security at risk as it seems more concerned with lawyers for terrorists than actual terrorist threats.  We must strengthen our military and provide for those who have so gallantly fought to preserve our liberty and freedoms.

 The Obama administration, Pelosi, and their fellow Democrats appear determined to destroy the best health care system in the world.  Yes, we must reduce costs within the system and that can be accomplished with solutions that will actually improve health care, not kill it!

For the last two years, our district has been represented by someone who voted to give California’s liberal Nancy Pelosi control of Congress as Speaker of the House.   In so doing, he facilitated her radical, leftist agenda which threatens to destroy our American way of life. 

We need a leader with a proven record.  We need a representative in Washington who will stand against the current tide.  We need someone with a strong conservative record, not an unknown with little experience.  We need someone who has a record of standing up against the biggest and toughest political opposition – and winning!  We need someone with true convictions who is dependable and trustworthy even when they have to stand alone for what is right!

Stephanie Bell is the right candidate with the truly conservative record and leadership experience to represent the Second Congressional District.
